  • Oil additive to restore working characteristics of mechanical transfer boxes: rear and front differentials, transfer cases and other gear mechanisms. Additive (compound) affects friction surfaces of gears and thus suitable for all types of differentials: open and locked ones, torsen differentials, limited slip differentials and other. Suitable for tractors and special home appliances with mechanical gear boxes.

    The additive restores friction surfaces which removes noises (hum or whine) and vibrations.

    Reducer additive is compatible with all brands of transmission oil. It is chemically neutral and doesn’t change oil properties.

Reducer additive should be added to transmission oil of a mechanism through the standard oil filling hole as follows:

  • Warm-up the mechanism to the normal working temperature (make a drive for 15-20 minutes), then shut off the engine;

  • Before applying Atomium Reducer - shake the can thoroughly until natural sediments are totally dissolved. Sediments are actually active component.

  • Pour Atomium Reducer through the regular oil filling neck.

  • After applying make a drive on the car during no less than 20 min. 

In case if a replacement of transmission oil in the mechanism is planned – add the compound to the fresh oil.


Important:

  • It is not recommended to apply the lubricant at existence of mechanical breakages of parts and assemblies;

  • Atomium Reducer is compatible to any type of engine oils and doesn't change their properties;

Precautions: Not harmful if applied correctly.

First aid:

  • In case of a contact with skin remove the material wash out with warm water, and then wash again with soap.
  • In case of contact with eyes wash out eyes with large amount of water.
  • In case of swallowing consult a doctor.


Differential or a transfer case is aimed to split the torque between wheels, which is important when the vehicle makes a turn. On a curve wheels inevitable should rotate at different speed, where the word “differential” comes from. Below we will try to give you some basic knowledge, which may help you to avoid troubles.

WHY I HEAR NOISE FROM A DIFFERENTIAL?

A differential is a mechanically cunning but relatively simple device. Core part of it are various bevel, screw or planetary gears. All these gears normally should smoothly engage, thanks to carefully counted shape and transmission oil. However in time any friction surface is getting worn and change its shape. It leads to some micro hits, which altogether merge into a single noise. You may call it hum or howl. It appears at some speed and get higher with acceleration.

IS NOISE IN TRANSMISSION A REAL DANGER?

Of course a worn mechanism works worse than a new one. As for differentials – a noise means that it doesn’t split the torque exactly as it should. Thus wheels are rotating as wrong speed and it may cause some troubles with car handling in a turn. It may be ok in many situations, but potentially may lead to an accident especially on a wet and slippy road.

In time noise and vibrations will get worse as the wear speeds up. After all the differential may just loose some gear teeth and get blocked completely. Not a very pleasant situation when you are on the drive.


WATER IN DIFFERENTIAL

Normally differentials are well protected from getting water inside. However it may happen. Water can get in through breather tube on the top of box or through seals. It may happen if you drive through deep water or just on the wet road under the rain.

Water will contaminate oil and dramatically increase friction. In this case the oil should be replaced as soon as possible.

If the differential is treated by Atomium compound – it I better protected from the friction. With high probability it will let you drive to the service station without much damage to gears. In any case the wear will be much less.

Reduces noise and vibrations in transfer box and mechanical differentials of any type.


Noise and vibration appearing from the rear or front differential (if the front one is separated from the gearbox) is a clear symptom to check up its condition.


Noise appears when gears are sufficiently worn and unable to be engaged smoothly. Each time there happens a tiny hit. Many of them merge into a singly hum. The sound pitch then may vary depending on the speed – the faster a car is moving the more high-pitchedsound is produced.


Humming differentials are dangerous for the car. The may lead to difficulties in car handling and finally to damage whole mechanism or even transmission box.


Atomium Reducer additive contains natural minerals which create special conditions in the friction areas. Gear surfaces get ability to catch metallic micro particles and gradually build up a protective layer on the worn areas. It brings back original shape and size of gear teeth and let them work smoothly.


Thus the treatment by compound provides following effects:

  • reduces or completely removes noise (rumbling or hoot);

  • sufficiently reduces vibrations;

  • eliminates energy loss and therefore reduces fuel consumption;

  • prolongs the lifetime of the mechanism;

  • protects reducers and differentials from wear in case of oil loss or if water gets into the oil;


The Atomium Reducer additive is compatible with any brand of transmission oil. It doesn’t interact with oil nor intentionally neither accidentally. This has been proved by numerous tests.
